Business Development Manager - Water Technical
Brighton


We are seeking a Business Development Manager to take on responsibility for the growth of our Water Technical consulting team in the Southern and South Eastern regions. This is a strategic growth role, and your remit will include the commercial development of new client work and building on existing relationships.

The base location is flexible however it is desirable that applicants are within commutable distance of the South-East of England.

Main Responsibilities:

- Manage our key client relationships in the Southern and South Eastern regions to maximise existing and future opportunities.
- Secure new opportunities with our Water clients to meet our strategic growth objectives; to win work and provide a sustainable workstream for the team.
- Manage existing and new frameworks as lead client contact, ensuring that we maximise our workload, have appropriate resources to deliver and maintain a profitable workstream.
- Establish new technical teams as required to deliver new opportunities.
- Contribute to the Water Technical South team delivering against their KPIs as part of the regional Management Team, including exceeding the budgeted level of revenue and profit for their team.
- To identify resource requirements and recruit a varied range of technical staff to enable the efficient delivery of projects.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required

- Successful experience in business development and client relationship management roles.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the water and / or wastewater industry, regulatory and compliance standards.
- Experience in asset management, infrastructure engineering and/or programme and project management would also be desirable
- Strong track record in the commercial leadership and delivery of water / wastewater projects to budget, profit expectations and client satisfaction.
- Experience as Framework Manager in a client facing capacity.
