Position: Senior Structural Engineer
Based: Milton Keynes
Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive + car/car allowance

RPS is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing Design & Surveys Team. The role is based in Milton Keynes but we can offer some home working. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you?ll have the opportunity to work with our industry leading team where we have an excellent reputation and offer a wealth of expertise in all sectors of the built environment. You?ll be working independently and primarily be involved in the effective delivery of a variety of projects for both our public sector and commercial clients including residential and superstructure.

Key responsibilities:
Independent management of projects
Financial responsibility for your own projects
Management of staff and other consultants
Further develop the team of engineers and technicians
Work in collaboration with senior stakeholders and
Clients
Attendance of leadership and strategy meetings
Site visits
Undertake structural surveys, investigation and repair schemes for failing structures from fires to foundation failures.

Ideal Skills and Experience
Chartered (or progressing towards chartership) with ICE, or IStructE or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of investigations and repairs of existing structures and low rise volume housing
Commercial awareness with knowledge in financial management of projects, development of clients and ability to assist in the project appointment process
A practical approach with the ability to work independently to deliver results
Experienced of working on entire projects from beginning to completion
