Position Title - Developer (Software/.Net)
Location - Abingdon/Remote
Status - Full Time/Permanent

About the role

RPS is going through an exciting period of transformation as we establish our ?Development as a Service? global development team to increase efficiency and responsiveness across our development capabilities and products by leveraging our global strengths to uncover new opportunities and markets. The Global Technology Team is responsible for the delivery of Technology services to the rest of the company and we are now looking for an additional Software Developer to join the team.

This is fantastic opportunity for a .Net Developer to work on multiple projects, building knowledge and understanding of all RPS Group business sectors. You will be assisting the Development Team in the production of code as required by the Software Delivery Director.

Whilst we require you to have established knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript and jQuery, Angular, HTML and CSS / Bootstrap CSS as well as TSQL for SQL Server , this role will enable you to build your knowledge of key cloud service providers, including Azure as we replatform.

What you will bring to the role
- Skills in developing, deploying, unit testing (including the development of test scripts and automation of these scripts) & debugging cloud applications
- Understanding of application lifecycle management
- Ability to use continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Ability to code to implement essential security measures
- Skills in writing, correcting and debugging code modules using the languages listed in the skills required section below
- Understand standard systems development lifecycle processes and apply RPS methodology effectively on projects
