Trainee Land Surveyor

To be based in Stafford, this role is a trainee position to become an Assistant Land Surveyor at RPS. You will join during an important part of our ongoing expansion programme.

As a trainee, you will be working within the Services UK Geomatics team, initially working full time on a single project close to the Stafford office with a view to eventually joining the wider survey team in order to become a qualified Land Surveyor.

As an Assistant Land Surveyor, you will have an excellent opportunity to progress your career and develop through industry qualifications towards becoming a qualified Land Surveyor.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Duties will include assisting the Land Surveyors in the field to create accurate plans in a variety of different environments using up to date technology including Total Stations, GPS and Laser Scanners.

Essential:

- Full valid UK driving licence
- Good level of education (preferably GCSE Maths and English grade C or above)
- Excellent IT Skills
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required
- Live within commuting distance of Stafford site
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop

Desirable:

- Previous and stable work experience
