Laboratory Analyst

Job: Laboratory Analyst
Type: Full Time
Duration: Permanent
Location: Salford (M5)

Key Responsibilities:

- Sample preparation
- Analysis of samples by ICP-MS in line with laboratory procedures
- Process and interpretation of analytical results
- Organising workload to ensure results are reported in agreed time scales
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Ensuring laboratory records are kept accurate and up to date.
- Ordering and maintenance of consumables.
- Assist Section Leader with management of sample throughput and supervise junior staff when required.


- A BSc in Chemistry or a related subject
- Experience of working in a face paced UKAS accredited laboratory (2 years)
- Experience of sample preparation and using ICP-MS analytical instrumentation.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Used to working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
