RPS is looking for an experienced Engineer to join expanding energy/ sustainability team in RPS. As the successful candidate, you will assist in advising public and private sector clients on low-carbon solutions in the built environment and energy policy areas.

• Experience of working with design teams on a range of commercial and public sector projects
• Ideally candidate would be qualified or progressing to BEng / MEng, in mechanical engineering, building services, a qualified Certified Energy Manager or equivalent qualifications in an energy related field
• Strong understanding of building services and preferably, common industrial processes; with strong experience in built environment/ property sector.
• Minimum 5 years experience in some of the following sectors:
o Carrying our BREEAM and LEED assessments
o Energy Efficiency
o Energy Management
o Renewable Energy deployment
o District heating
o Carbon Assessment
o Energy policy
About Your Role
The role will typically include:
• Providing technical sustainability support to clients in a wide range of areas including:
o building performance and building optimisation
o energy auditing and options development
o Technoeconomic assessment
o sustainability strategies
o renewable feasibility studies
o whole life carbon assessments
o Climate adaptation / mitigation strategies
• Providing advice to clients and design teams on the most cost-effective and beneficial route to compliance
• Identifying potential clients, discussing needs and preparing bid documents
• Report to Director Energy
