Senior EIA Consultant
Abingdon


The RPS EIA, Health and Sustainability team is recruiting for an experienced EIA Consultant to work from our busy and vibrant head office near Oxford.

As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will be part of an established environmental team and partner with RPS Planning, Transport, Landscape, Heritage and Graphics teams within the Oxford office, alongside the wider network of environmental professional across RPS.

You will work on a variety of project from small leisure projects to large long-term flagship projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects across the aviation, highways and renewable sectors.

Main responsibilities for this role include:

-EIA project management, including forming part of the project management team for large multi-disciplinary projects
- Writing of project description, alternatives and methodology chapters and Non-Technical Summaries
- Review of Environmental Statement topic chapters and liaison with topic authors
- Writing high calibre technical reports, alongside completeing review of reports produced by others
- Liaise with clients, environmental stakeholders and project managers to agree approaches and deliver to deadlines
-Providing analytical and quantitative assessment support to EIA team members when required
- Support the preparation of tender submissions, working with other RPS team and offices, to ensure we have the best opportunity for winning the multi-discipline tenders

Skills, qualifications and experience required:
-Prior experience of practical application of the EIA Regulations and experience in relation to screening, scoping and production of Environmental Statements
-Hold a degree within a relevant environmental subject, ideally with a master?s degree in environmental assessment
- Excellent report writing and proof reading skills
- A team player who is able to multi task
- Excellent communication, skills in a client facing role
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
