Trainee Technician
Milton Keynes

RPS Occupational Hygiene division identify, assess and control risks to workers' health from hazards present at their workplace. Occupational Hygiene issues commonly arise at large manufacturing sites and processing facilities where complex mechanical processes are in operation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Technician (Occupational hygiene) looking to build a rewarding career in an industry renowned and growing team. This role will see you working on a full-time basis, connected with our Milton Keynes office whilst completing travel.

Main responsibilities:
? Technical activities shall include:
o workplace monitoring in line with formal written procedures
o process and operative observations
o perform risk assessment
? Attending sites:
o throughout the UK in a variety of industries
o to conduct tests and assessments on behalf of the company once trained
? Providing
o data and samples for analysis
o written reports for our clients detailing results of monitoring and practices observed
o advice and recommendations
o progress reports to the office / line manager in line with company procedures.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:
? Hold a full valid UK driving license
? A science related degree or equivalent is preferred
? Prior experience of or willing to learn the production of detailed technical reports, ready for client submission
? Proficient user of the complete Microsoft office suite
? Strong interpersonal, numerical interpretation and organisational skills
? Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
