Position: Planner
Location: Kirkintilloch
Type: Permanent/Full Time

The Position:
RPS Water are looking to recruit a Planner to be based from Kirkintilloch as part of the team involved in planning all trunk mains and distribution mains cleaning field activities. This role will see you being office-based and having responsibility for supporting the Programme Team. You will be involved in scheduling and maintaining all existing project plans, performing updates and status reporting, to ensure design and delivery are planned effectively and agreed milestone dates are achieved

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for ensuring changes based on timely updates from contributing teams in the field planners are promptly captured, allowing communication on project progress to be accurate.
- Support the development and documentation of planning processes
- Supporting the Senior Planner/Project Planner in the development, maintenance and extraction of standard planning reporting and KPI?s, ensuring consistency between all Mains Cleaning teams
- Attend programme meetings with internal stakeholders to assist with all programming and planning decisions with support from the Senior Planner/Project Planner
- Key input and support to weekly programme forecasts for internal and external stakeholders
- Support wider team in field planner changes and subsequent process and reporting planning tool updates

The essential experience required for this role are as follows:
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-functional team with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to react to change within a reactive environment
- Microsoft Office tools experience
- 3-5 years? experience within coordination / logistics role

The desirable experience required for this role are as follows:
- Understanding of principles of planning or of field team planning / coordination
- An ability to understand and demonstrate field activity knowledge to the appropriate level
- Experience using a project planning tool, e.g. Primavera
