About the Role
RPS are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The successful candidate will become a key member of our Transport team which has an active and interesting current / upcoming project portfolio. Ideally the position will be based in our Galway office. However, there flexibility to be based in our Dublin, Cork or Sligo Offices. Travel throughout Ireland and the UK to assist with project delivery will be a requirement.

About You
• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering;
• Level 9 Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or cognate discipline;
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng or equivalent).

About the Responsibilities
• Leading / project managing all stages of projects involving the design, procurement and contract supervision of geotechnical projects;
• Working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams in the delivery of transportation infrastructure;
• Providing a high-quality service to our Clients in the Public and Private Sectors;
• Managing design teams and mentoring young engineers;
• Business development and tender bid management for professional services contracts.

Key Skills/Attributes:
• A track record in the delivery of geotechnical projects;
• Detailed knowledge of the analysis and design of geotechnical works
• Track record of leading design teams and working as part of both Employer-led and Contractor-led design teams;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
