Position: Principal Geo-environmental Consultant
Location: London
Type: Full Time/Permanent

About the Position:

RPS is looking for a highly motivated, principal grade consultant to join the Ground Risk and Remediation Team at our central London office. You?ll need to have an excellent technical understanding and solid experience in land contamination and ground engineering projects, particularly in the context of multidisciplinary development and infrastructure projects.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:
? Project management and delivery of ground investigations and ground engineering projects.
? Providing technical expertise to clients, designers and other RPS offices relating to land contamination risk assessment, remediation design and implementation.
? Negotiating with regulators and statutory consultees.
? Preparation & technical review of reports.
? Business development, proposal writing and reviewing
? Mentoring junior staff.

Ideal Skills/Expertise:
? BSc in earth sciences/environmental/ground engineering discipline.
? MSc in earth sciences/environmental/ground engineering discipline.
? Chartered geologist, scientist and/or engineer.
? Strong report writing skills a technical expertise.
? Proven management skills and ability to interact well with all staff levels.
? Self-starter able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
? Strong aptitude and drive for business development.
? Chartered or close to chartership through an appropriate and relevant professional institution.
