Project Manager PMO
Abingdon


The Technology Project Manager is a key role of the recently created Project Management Office of the Global Technology Team (GTT), as he/she will be part of the GTT PMO setup and deployment as well as directly managing projects. The purpose of the GTT PMO is to ?Do the right projects and do the projects right?.
As a Project Manager, the Technology Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technology projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Technology Project Manager will also define the project?s objectives, measure success, and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, based on defined Project Management standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage Technology projects:
? Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
? Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
? Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
? Determine and assess need for additional project staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project cycle.
? Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
? Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
? Actively manage the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register.
? Coordinate project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged.
? Report project progress to the PMO

Setup and develop the PMO:
? Participate in the PMO setup initiatives such as design, creation and improvements of project management framework, standards, templates, check lists, dashboards, etc., as well as provide on-going improvements to existing tools or processes.
? Support deployment of PM framework, methods and controls across GTT, globally.
? Support the launch, implementation and adoption of core processes and controls into the wider organization to provide project management standards across the Global Technology Team.
? Support the selection, implementation and deployment of a PPM tool for the PMO.
? Train GTT colleagues and/or project team members on Project Management basics.





Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
? Degree in computer science, engineering or accounting.
? Extensive experience of Project Management experience for Technology, Business Systems, ERP projects or programs.
? Proven Agile experience for medium to large sized projects.
? Project Management certification (PMP or Prince2) is a plus.
? Strong familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, as well as other collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Azure DevOps.
? Project Management methodologies/framework (Agile, Waterfall?)
? Ability to communicate, listen and build alliances across business units and across Technology programs and disciplines; collaborates across organizational and cultural boundaries.
? Understanding of financials concepts.
