GIS Analyst
Dublin (Ireland)

REPORT TO: Technical Director
JOB TYPE: Permanent – Full Time

We are currently recruiting a GIS Analyst who will contribute as a key member of our Waste, Energy & Environment Team. The successful candidate will be based in our Kylemore office in Dublin. They will be joining a recognised leader in the delivery of consultancy services in Ireland and the UK.

Key Requirements

• Degree in GIS, Earth Science, Environmental Science or Engineering (or related/relevant discipline).
• A relevant post-graduate degree (GIS/Remote Sensing/Fluvial Geomorphology) will be considered an advantage
• 2+ years’ relevant work experience
• Proficiency in digital mapping, remote sensing and GIS techniques
• Excellent data analysis skills with competency in Microsoft packages
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work with teams and on own initiative.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Data capture and digitisation
• Mapping and Spatial Analysis support to other sectors
• Develop and maintain GIS data resources for public access.
• Assist with data collection with GPS.
• Ensure data accuracy QA/QC.
• Record and document details of map updates, additions or deletions.
• Desk-based recording of features and controls using digital mapping, remote sensing and GIS techniques (mainly using ArcGIS 10).
