Graduate Marine Consultant

Join us at RPS and support a wide range of leading energy companies to plan and monitor their operations worldwide.

RPS helps our clients consent and undertake environmental assessments of major energy infrastructure projects, in the renewable (offshore wind, wave and tidal energy), transmission infrastructure and coastal/marine power generation and storage sectors. We also help our clients deliver consent for other major marine and coastal infrastructure.

Our marine and consenting team have an opportunity for a talented and passionate Marine Environmental Consultant to join our established multi-disciplinary London team based across our London, Woking, Chepstow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh offices.

This role will see you work both independently and within large multi-disciplinary teams, to support the. To ensure delivery for multi-billion-pound marine and coastal infrastructure projects, in the following areas:
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) coordination and delivery
• Post-cConsent compliance
• Technical assessments such as Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA), Water Framework Directive (WFD), European Protected Species (EPS) and Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ)
• Marine and environmental consenting and planning advice
• Stakeholder engagement and management

Skill, Education and Qualifications required:
• Degree qualified in a relevant environmental discipline, ideally with a higher qualification
• Membership or chartered status of a relevant professional institute
• Prior experience in:
o Marine or coastal projects
o EIA process
o Consent compliance
o Technical report writing
