Position: Management Accountant
Based: Manchester
Type: Full Time/Permanent

About the Position:

RPS is looking for a Management Accountant to provide support to the Finance Manager, Divisional FD and local Operational Directors & Managers to ensure that the financial health of the division is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of month end office management accounts for offices within the division.
• Ensure Financial reporting for individual business units is accurate and in accordance with the group timetable.
• Provide explanations for any significant trends/variations to target or forecast for offices
• Assist local offices to resolve issues/queries on operation of RPS Systems
• Assist in the production of yearly budgets
• Review of Aged accrued revenue & Debtors
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Divisional Finance Manager and Finance Director
• Provide a full range of support to the office managers of the business unit and other key internal stakeholders by building excellent working relationships, providing high quality financial information.
• Take a contributory role in the implementation of a new ERP system within the business unit as part of the global program of business systems improvement.
• Assist compliance across the business unit with RPS Group financial and commercial policies and standards.
• Assisting to drive the performance of the business unit by delivering the financial information including growth, profit, budgets and resource utilisation.

Ideal Skills/Experience:

• Good Excel Skills
• AAT Qualified or studying towards ACCA / CIMA
• Technical knowledge of Accounting Principles and Standards
• SUN and Microsoft Dynamics experience preferable
• A positive can-do attitude
• Good time keeping & Time management skills
• Able to build relationships within matrix-structured, multinational organisational environment.
• Able to confidently and effectively interact with executive peers, Group office, clientele, and external stakeholders.
