Assistant Project Manager
Derby


RPS UK Water Business focuses on asset management support and waste water drainage planning for water companies across the UK. From our Derby office we serve six major clients on long term framework agreements.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an Assistant Project Manager, this role will see become part of our growing Project Management team providing support across several the water company frameworks.

As well as offering a diverse and exciting workload, we put significant emphasis on development of innovative technical approaches and providing an enjoyable working environment in which our staff can develop their careers through our varied training and development programme.

Main responsibilities:
• Provide general support towards the management or frameworks and programmes of work
• Ensure projects follow our Integrated Management System (Project Quality Control)
• Progress reporting and programming to update client on a monthly basis
• Monitor our KPIs in terms of Client Performance
• Organise and review client feedback forms
• Challenging PM/Team Leads to ensure projects meet programme deadlines and financial targets
• Budgeting, cost control and invoicing under direction of Technical/Framework Manager
• Project change management under direction of Technical/Framework Manager

Skills, experience and qualifications required:
• Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business studies or engineering)
• Competent user of the complete Microsoft office package
• Be working towards or aspire to complete PRINCE 2 or APM Qualification
• Knowledge of the water industry and or contracts (to include NEC family contracts) would be advantageous but not essential
• Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
