Graduate Consultant - Risk Management Division
Warrington


RPS has been a leading provider of specialist safety and risk consultancy services to the UK nuclear sector (civil and defence) for over 30 years. Our principal area of expertise is in support of nuclear safety case development and preparation. We support the whole plant or project lifecycle from design and construction, through operations and decommissioning.

As Graduate Consultant located within the Warrington office, you work alongside the technical team and support in the delivery of major accident hazard safety assessment in several sectors including Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and manufacturing. Over time providing you with the opportunity to build lasting relationship and frameworks with clients.

All successful candidates will have to complete SC level security clearance.

Main responsibilities
• To perform consequence and risk modelling
• Participating in hazard study workshops including: HAZOP/HAZID/ALARP/LOPA/FMEA
• Support development of risk assessment tools
• Business and service development support
• Working across multiple projects at any one time, ensuring work is completed on budget and to the client’s satisfaction


Skills & Qualifications required
• Degree held within a STEM* subject
• Excellent numeracy, reporting/essay writing, attention to detail and time management skills
• Self-motivated team player with good people skills
• Enthusiastic and looking to learn new skills
• Competent user of the complete Microsoft office package and general IT Excel
• Not essential but desirable – Any understanding of UK safety regulations and supporting assessment techniques. Any relevant work experiences
• Flexibility and willingness to travel within the role
