Chemist (HPLC / IC)

We are looking for a Chemist to join and support our highly respected and knowledgeable team of chemists. This is a great chance to work with a talented team of experts in a friendly, supportive and innovative environment.

Type: Full Time
Duration: Permanent
Location: Salford (M5)

Key Responsibilities:
• Organising workloads to ensure samples are reported in agreed timescales
• Analysis of samples using HPLC & IC ensuring all ISO 17025 quality requirements are met in line with laboratory procedures
• Process and interpretation of analytical results.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
• Undertake investigations into internal and external QC failures.
• Supervision and training of junior staff.
• Ensure laboratory records are kept accurate and up to date.
• Sample preparation when required.


• BSc in Science or equivalent
• Maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience of working in a fast paced UKAS accredited laboratory
• Work based chromatography experience
