We have just launched an exciting new brand and we are profiling our new business strategy to our global clients.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Resident Engineer to join our Roads team to supervise a road construction contract on the N81, near Hollywood, Co Wicklow. It is expected that the appointments will commence in June 2019 with a likely duration of between 12 and 15 months.

The role of the Senior Resident Engineer will be to supervise the construction of Roads. The role is a senior position and includes for the administration of the contract in accordance with the Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering Works Designed by the Employer.

The Senior Resident Engineer shall:

• Hold an honours degree (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications) in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification in engineering.
• Have at least 8 years’ experience of the design and construction supervision of roads and bridges projects.
• Have at least 3 years’ experience in the role of Resident Engineer or higher in the supervision of road construction projects.
• Have previous experience in the administration of construction contracts on projects constructed under Employer designed forms as Resident Engineer or higher including the roles and duties of the respective parties, contractual obligations and timeframes.
• Possess a high standard of technical training and experience.
• Have excellent IT skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Be familiar with the relevant Dispute Resolution Processes.
• Have familiarity and experience of TII Project Management, Risk Management & Cost Management Procedures.
• Have detailed experience of fulfilling duties required by the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations, 2013, including ensuring, on behalf of the Employer, that the duties of the PSCS, PSDP, Designer and Contractor are implemented across the project.
• Have knowledge and experience of civil engineering materials quality control.
