PRV - Area Co-ordinator (London - Walthamstow)

Location: Walthamstow
Working Hours: 40 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Responsible To: Delivery Manager

RPS Group is an international environmental consultancy employing over 5,000 people worldwide and a key player in Water Leakage Management. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, The Area Coordinator will be responsible for arranging the necessary works for the servicing / maintenance of water network assets and ensuring that the Service Level Agreement between RPS and Thames Water is met.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Working with other team members, coordinate the activities of the servicing engineers
• Develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders
• Coordinate the necessary multiple activities to deliver the program of works
• Plan and schedule work for the servicing engineers
• Able to meet KPI’s/SLA’s from the client
• Follow and apply policies and procedures
• Require to be on the Standby rota for Thames Region on a rota basis
• Able to analyse data
• Keep work records up to date
• Produce progress reports on both a regular and Ad-Hoc basis
• Process data collected by the servicing engineers

Qualifications & Professional Memberships:
• NRSWA Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding (training can be provided for the right candidate) (Desirable)
• City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces (training can be provided for the right candidate) (Desirable)
• Full UK driving licence (Essential)

Technical Competencies (Experience & Knowledge):
• Successful track record in delivering compliance with externally accredited management systems (essential).
• Thorough understanding of the planning process for work activities on water distribution networks (desirable).
• Ability to carry out effective assessments of risk and advise site based Field Teams accordingly (essential).
• Knowledge of water distribution networks (desirable).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple work streams to ensure the successful completion of the work programme (essential).
• Excellent communication skills (Written and oral) at all levels internally and externally (essential).
• Ability to function effectively in a fast based and fluid environment (essential).
• Experienced user of industry ‘work planning’ applications to facilitate the necessary permits and permissions (desirable).
• Good IT skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems (essential).
