Dimensional Control Surveyor

RPS’s Dimensional Control & Laser Scanning teams provide our clients with accurate and fast results for specialist operations such as Vessel calibrations / Offset surveys, jumper fabrication, Structure As-built surveys and all aspects of industrial precision measurements.

Through using highly accurate & calibrated instruments and utilising specialist software and survey methods allows is to deliver fast track field data reports, followed by project deliverable Reports / Registered point cloud data to client’s requirements in a short turnaround project timeline.

RPS cover worldwide operations in the Oil & Gas, Renewables and Civils sectors delivering personnel and equipment to any site location offshore or onshore, worldwide.

The Dimensional Control team located in Aberdeen have an opportunity for a Dimensional Control Surveyor working from the Aberdeen office on a full-time basis. This role will see you completeing international travel.

Main Responsibilities:

Carry our millimetric accuracy dimensional surveys using total stations, laser scanners and photogrammetric systems
Performing dimensional analysis of data, clash reporting and isometric mark up, 3D model production, client liaison and project management
Completing with high safety standard and rigorous permit to work systems
Maintain all records in relation to dimensional survey department
Own the control of all dimensional survey reporting
Keep all field certification up to date
Assess the job severity, equipment and methods
Propose the equipment and personnel transport to the worksite
Prepare the relevant survey data
Carry out and QC the survey
Compile and check reports
Completion of equipment lists
Skills, experience & Qualifications required:

Degree qualifications in surveying or civil engineering is highly desirable
Previous experience of AutoCAD and MS Office
Accountability for project lead Survey DC Operations and issued Data
Assist with Survey DC Methodology & Procedures
Own the control of all survey equipment certification
Completion of Risk Assessment procedures prior to dimensional survey field operations
Issue final report on completion of Field operations
