Biostratigrapher (Multi-client studies manager)

RPS Energy is a multi-disciplinary consultancy, providing Technical, Commercial and Project Management Support services in the fields of operations, geoscience, engineering and HS&E to the energy sector worldwide.

RPS Specialist Geology team, comprises of palynologists, micropalaeontologists, nannopalaeontologists, sedimentologists, reservoir geologists & chemostratigraphers Working as part of the wider RPS Energy group, the team have extensive expertise in completing projects across all basins throughout the world.

Job Title Biostratigrapher (Multi-client studies Manager)
Location Cheshire, UK

Role outline
You will be managing stratigraphic multi-client products for Northwest Europe and Worldwide. A key part of this role is identifying and developing new clients and stratigraphic products for the business by employing strong technical marketing skills. Alongside the multi-client sales segment of this role the candidate is expected to provide coaching and mentoring for junior team members.

Main responsibilities
• Working closely with the Reservoir Geology Manager to develop strategies to grow the multi-client sales business and further develop the customer demographic
• Biostratigraphic evaluation of slide material and data archives to support stratigraphic well interpretations and regional stratigraphic modelling
• Business development and engagement with business stakeholders
• To undertake technical marketing presentations
• Conduct and attend client meetings
• Personnel mentoring and development

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required
• MSc in a relevant subject
• Prior expertise involving analysis and interpretation of either
Palynology
Micropalaeontology
Nannopalaeontology
• Prior industry-based experience
• Working knowledge of ODM/IC, Stratabugs and GIS is advantageous
• The position is based at the RPS Northwich office, Cheshire.
