About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in delivering challenging projects to complement the growing team in our Bristol office. Reporting to the Project Director, this role will supervise and develop a team providing leadership and project management in all facets of project activities to deliver the project to meet cost, time and quality requirements whilst ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project. This role will also require you to develop and manage effective communication and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that requirements are identified, assessed and appropriately integrated into the project. This is a client facing role, so you will develop the clients’ brief, delivery strategy, and lead the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme including the appointment of the extended professional team of local and international consultants and contractors whilst providing input into client system safety and project risk assessment and management process.

About You
Suitable candidates will preferably possess a degree in Built Environment (or equivalent) and be a member of RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent institution. You should have a Project Management Qualification and possess a minimum of 7 years’ post graduate experience gained working on construction industry full lifecycle projects in design and project management ideally in a consultancy environment. Experience chairing internal and external client and stakeholder meetings is essential as is effective time management and project planning skills. Candidates should be able to prepare detailed project programmes and evidence successful delivery of projects to programme. Experience implementing and operating multiple construction industry projects in line with integrated quality, safety and environmental management systems is also required as is a working knowledge of risk management in project delivery. Detailed knowledge of H&S matters is a must. The appointed candidate will work well on their own initiative as well as part of a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to set up, monitor and control project cost budgets is important as well as actively participating in change control procedures. Experience in contract procurement and works contract administration is advantageous. Full UK Driver’s licence is preferred along with experience delivering both public and private sector projects.
