JOB TITLE: Graduate IT Administrator

JOB PURPOSE: To assist in the delivery and support of the IT infrastructure in Galway
REPORT TO: Ireland IT Manager
LOCATION: Mervue, Galway
JOB TYPE: Permanent

RPS is currently recruiting a Graduate IT Administrator with 1-2 years’ experience to join our team in Galway. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing team, build their technical skills and develop a career in IT.
About the role
(Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following):
• You will be providing helpdesk support as part of team to 100+ engineering/technical staff over two sites and providing remote support when required to other sites in Cork and Dublin
• Autodesk application suite support for technical staff
• Rolling out of office hardware and software during refresh/upgrade cycles
• Supporting video conference and VOIP telephony systems
• Administration of industry standard IT systems
• Print systems support
What you will need to apply
• Relevant 3rd level qualification and/or industry certifications such as:
MCP, MCSA, CCNA, COMPTIA
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in at least two of the following:
· Desktop support including peripherals
· Server support including backup technologies
· Network – LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, switching, patching
· Security – firewall, AV, encryption
· VOIP telephone administration
· Installation and support of client OS and the common application stack
• Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes
• Customer service orientation
• Must be flexible and work out of hours to business requirements, on occasion
• A full, clean driving license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to work effectively within your team and liaise with staff
• Ability to work on own initiative and take ownerships of tasks through to completion
• Must be willing to learn, develop technical skills and achieve certification in relevant technologies
