Assistant Administrator (finance)
Bristol


The Administrator will work within our environmental team which provides environmental consultancy services including contaminated land, ground engineering, water resource management, environmental permitting, due diligence and waste management consultancy services. We have a diverse range of clients in the energy, waste, infrastructure, commercial and residential development and financial services sectors. The Assistant Administrator will support our team primarily with financial administrative duties but also more general administrative duties as the need arises.

This is a full time role that would suit an individual looking to commence a clerical or financial career or equally suit someone with some experience in finance administration who wants to develop as a person, improve skills and widen their experience by supporting a 50 strong environmental consultancy team within a professional services company.

Responsibilities:

Completing forms and running credit checks to enable new projects to commence.
Preparation of summary financial information for monthly reports.
Producing and circulating project financial reports using Sharpowl .
Supporting admin team to raise invoices from billing information supplied by our Project Managers.
Supporting Office Manager with reviewing project finances, checking order books and debtors
Ensure all time and expenses are inputted onto SharpOwl by the required deadlines.
Issuing purchase orders, checking suppliers invoices and producing a weekly batch for head office.
Checking staff holidays, recording absence and associated data entry.
Checking and processing staff expenses.
Submitting petty cash claims.
Checking debtors lists

Essential Skills:

Minimum GSCE ā€˜Cā€™ grade (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Ability to manage and prioritise workloads / tasks daily, at all times meeting the required deadlines
Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent telephone manner
