About the Role
We are growing our CDM Consulting team and are looking to appoint an experienced Principal Design CDM Coordinator or Consultant to be a point of contact for CDM related advice. The work is throughout UK and your base will be in East Midlands working alongside dedicated, engineering teams. You will be working on a range of projects including multi-million pound industrial schemes where your CDM knowledge will be used in the development of those schemes. The role will require you to work with the design teams to develop information relating to the health and safety aspects of the designs. This will involve site based interaction as well as liaison with designers in order to understand the schemes.

About You
You are likely to have a Civil Engineering design or construction background and understand the design process and its relationship with site activities. You should possess the required knowledge to enable you to discuss the schemes and develop information regarding the health and safety aspects of the designs with the design teams. This means you need to understand site constraints and be able to determine if they have been addressed by the designer. For those with 3-5 years’ experience support and training will be provided. More senior candidates should have 5-10 years’ experience and hold a professional qualification ideally within engineering. The focus is on CDM rather than simply health and safety, so you will need a working knowledge of CDM Regulations which will supplemented with additional training as required.
