Reporting to: Heritage Graphics Manager

A Graphics Specialist is required for our heritage office based in central London, who specialise in Archaeology and Historic Buildings.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and well-motivated with thorough technical knowledge. Ability to use AutoCAD, Esri ArcMap (GIS software) and Adobe Design software (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop etc.) is highly desirable, as is any previous experience producing graphics within the heritage sector.
Whilst we are advertising a general graphics role, there is potential scope to focus on Archaeology graphics (with more CAD/GIS use) or Historic Buildings graphics (with more Adobe Design work) if applicable and dependent on experience.

Key tasks could include:
• Preparing various plans to illustrate reports using a mix of AutoCAD, ArcMap and Adobe Design software.
• Working with Client’s site plans, site photographs, CAD data, LiDAR data and a multitude of historic maps.
• Preparing professional reports by using Adobe In-Design to layout text and images, working closely with Heritage consultant’s text and input.
• Preparing PDF documents and plans for client issue. (Good knowledge of Acrobat required)
• Preparing and printing scaled drawings, including plans for fieldwork.
• Maintaining/updating graphics software templates if required.
• Provide support to Heritage Graphics Manager and wider heritage team with general graphics duties.
Key skills and abilities include:
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and IT in general.
• Ability to produce high quality drawings to a tight timescale.
• Ability to present graphical information clearly and accurately.
• A good standard of Maths and English.
• Excellent level of communication.
• Good management of time/workload

The successful candidate would be responsible for assisting with producing graphic material for a growing Heritage team, so the role will require good communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
