Team Leader (South East Wales)

The Team Leader is responsible for day to day management of the Leakage Teams leak detection activities in order to meet leakage targets as defined by the client. The Team Leader reports directly to the Project Manager.

Main Responsibilities
• Drive, support and mentor teams on a daily basis
• Undertake site based briefing/debriefing sessions with leakage teams
• Drive and manage performance of the leakage teams
• Undertake IMS duties such as site based audits and BEST observations
• Ensure customer facing excellence is maintained
• Ensure adequate and accurate completion of paperwork (including timesheets, survey forms, leak details, etc.)
• Adherence to Company policies and procedures at all times, especially relating to Health & Safety

Experience/Skills Required
• Experience of working within a leakage detection role or similar within the water industry.
• Proficient in the use of leakage detection equipment, including a correlator, pipe tracer, ground microphone and listening stick.
• Ability to utilise own initiative in order to solve and overcome problems/issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Good standard of IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn and embrace new skills and technology.
• Compliance with the Health & Safety requirements of both RPS and the client.
• You must be prepared to work in a flexible manner. Working hours will include some night work, early start times and occasional weekend work. You will also be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Applicants should hold the following Qualifications/Professional Memberships:
• NVQ Level 2 in Leakage Management
• Unit 2 & 10 Street Works
• National Water Hygiene
• Full UK driving licence.
