Working for all of the UK water and sewerage companies and most of the water only companies, our services include water networks management; leakage consultancy; waste water network management; software solutions; utility, land and building surveying; design; water resources and efficiency advice; and flood risk and water environment consultancy.
We are currently looking for a Field Team Supervisor to join our PRV Team based in the Thames Water area.

What you’ll do
As a PRV Field Team Supervisor you will report to the Delivery Manager and will coordinate with other senior team members. You will lead a team of around 10 site based staff (working in groups of 1 and 2). The team is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of the client’s annual PRV maintenance programme and to respond promptly to reactive calls to attend PRV assets. The contract operates an out of hours standby rota which you may be required to participate in.
You will be responsible for Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Management compliance utilising in house and client lead systems. As well as working with the RPS teams, it will also be required to work with (& liaise with) the client and other stakeholders.
As part of the role you will be expected to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, whilst assisting the Delivery Manager in the budgetary monitoring and management. The role will also provide scope to identify opportunities for change through our commitment to continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
Ideally we are looking for individuals who have previously lead the delivery of planned and reactive PRV maintenance services for UK water companies, although we also invite you to apply if you possess the following attributes:
• Successful track record in delivery compliance with externally accredited management systems
• Thorough understanding of water network operations
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to carry out effective assessments of risk and instruct site based Field Teams accordingly
• Ability to undertake audits of site based Field Teams and provide effective mentoring and support to Field Team personnel to ensure full compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

As part of this position, the following qualifications and professional memberships are required:

• NRSWA Unit 2 Signing, Lighting and Guarding (Training can be provided)
• NRSWA Unit 10 Signing, Lighting and Guarding (Training can be provided)
• City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces (Training can be provided)
• National Water Hygiene Card (Training can be provided)
• Full UK driving licence. (Essential Requirement)

You should also ideally possess the following qualifications/skills, although training will be available for the right candidates:

• IOSH Supervising Safely or similar
• City & Guilds 6150-61; Management of Confined Spaces
• Proven leadership and operational management success
• Use of Microsoft Office applications to an advanced level.
