We are currently recruiting for the role of Senior IT Operations and Support Engineer to join our team in Dun Laoghaire. As an IT Operations and Support Engineer, you will provide our business units with IT support and assist the IT team with overall responsibilities.

Essential Requirements

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience as systems administrator supporting medium to large size business
• Strong understanding of servers, storage and virtual infrastructures
• Excellent analytical, support and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of application subscriptions, renewals
• Highly motivated with the ability to organize, motivate and influence team members
• Good presentation skills
• Personal responsibility and accountability
• Strong time management skills
• Be willing to work occasional extended hours
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with analysing complex issues and delivering appropriate solutions
• Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice

Relevant Abilities
• Strong understanding of Office 365, Azure AD and SharePoint
• Strong understanding of a Microsoft network infrastructure (Administrative and Management of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP)
• Strong understanding of Virtual infrastructure (VMware, Hyper V administration and management)
• IT infrastructure (SAN, Servers and Switches) preferred knowledge of Dell product line
• Strong understanding of Networking and configuration of firewalls and network switches
• Experience in Comms circuits, install, management and monitoring
• Experience in web publishing and certificates
• Good understanding of VOIP technologies, deployment and management experience
• Networking experience with Cisco, Dell, HP products
• Experience in setting up License Servers, Network or Cloud based
• Experience with Avaya VOIP Phone System
• Migration of Systems and networks

Key Expectations
• Ensure all IT related services are maintained and delivered in a stable state of operation to meet the business requirements of assigned offices.
• Configure, manage and support of Group cloud infrastructure, Office 365, SharePoint and Azure AD.
• Installation, configuration and network integration of hardware and software within offices is in accordance with industry standard practice and procedures and company policies and procedures are applied.
• Maintaining network infrastructure with company standards (Firewalls, Servers, Appliances)
• Maintain infrastructure documentation
• Setup, manage and support infrastructure alerts
• Support 2nd/3rd Line support issues as presented by staff and the support team
• Follow change control process
• When required operate service outside the scope of business hours
• Produce, as required, reports or notifications regarding the status of any Hardware, Software or System that has caused or may cause loss of IT services within assigned offices, including capacity and storage planning.
• Management of IT implementation Projects and Office moves.
