JOB TYPE: 12 Month Specific Purpose Contract

RPS is currently recruiting an Associate Engineer to join our Water services team for a role based in the Dublin area. The position will primarily be focusing on health and safety aspects of water and wastewater treatment plants. The successful candidates will carry out desktop and site based risk assessments. It is expected that the project will roll out in June 2018 with a likely duration of 12 months with a view to extension.

The Associate Engineer - Occupational H&S Specialist will ideally have:

• Third level degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar discipline
• 10 years Occupational H&S experience in the delivery of water services projects.
• Chartered IOSH Member
• Expertise in H&S knowledge of operation and maintenance in the water services sector.
• Expertise of H&S legislation and Construction safety regulations
• Experience in reviewing H&S data and developing appropriate solutions.
• Experience of compiling H&S documentation: i.e. water/wastewater treatment plants/pump stations/reservoirs etc.
• Good organisation skills, strong Quality Assurance for audit purposes.
• Manage issues within the team and act as a point of escalation.
• Excellent data analysis and excel skills required.

The Role:

The Engineer will report directly to the Risk Control Lead and will provide the following services: Collation and analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify where improvements and additions can be made to the existing health and safety documentation. Scope of analysis will include above and below ground, water and waste water assets. Frequent attendance at client sites and client offices
