CONTRACT STATUS: Contract Full-Time

We are currently recruiting a Site based Project Manager to join the Employer’s Representatives project team for a significant civil engineering NEC Option C Target Cost Contract in the Cork Area.

You will be based full-time at the project site in Cork, Ireland.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating and undertaking the duties of the Project Manager in accordance with the NEC contract.

Key Requirements:
• Degree qualified (Level 8) in Civil Engineering
• Chartered status or equivalent with management experience
• Hold a current certificate as an accredited (ICE) NEC3 ECC Project Manager on or before commencement of site works
• Demonstrate a minimum of 15 years relevant experience of administering and successfully delivering large scale civil engineering contracts of which at least one (1No.) shall have a minimum value of €10million
• Demonstrate a minimum of 7 years NEC3 contract experience including specific experience of target cost, open book contract management, risk management (early warning systems), NEC contract administration software etc.
• Acted as Site based Project Manager on at least one civil engineering Design & Build contract of minimum value €15million
• Proven management capability and experience
• Team leadership experience
• Strong track record in service delivery

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and
• Highly motivated

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Report to the overall RPS Project Manager
• Perform the duties of the NEC Project Manager in accordance with the NEC Conditions of Contract
• Lead and manage site based team
• Coordinate the administration of the Contract in conjunction with the Supervisor
• Implement NEC best practices on the Contract and comply with all internal systems
• Provide leadership in setting and implementing technical and quality compliance
• Build and maintain personal, unit and team skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of design codes, specifications, legislation and best practices
• A thorough knowledge of the management and implementation of the NEC Contract
• A thorough understanding of professional appointments, contractual arrangements, procurement and project management
• Excellent people management skills including management of costs, time and quality;
• Be capable leading a wider engineering/scientific team
• Excellent communications skills
• Good computer skills and
• Experience in project management, contract administration, supervision and monitoring

The successful candidate will be appointed for the duration of the contract which is expected to be approximately 12 Months commencing in February 2018.

Remuneration package commensurate with a senior project management role on a major civil engineering / remediation contract.
