Information Security Analyst
Warrington


RPS has a requirement for an Information Security Analyst based at our Warrington office. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver new Information security initiatives at a diverse international consultancy.

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for security and compliance related activities in the group, including the development and delivery of an information security awareness programme to all RPS staff in the UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
• Develop and maintain security awareness training courses and provide this training to all staff members.
• Assist in the security accreditation application, compliance and renewal process for various security accreditations.
• Research and keep up to date on security threats, communicating these to the Technology Services team and the business
• Specialized IT support and security support.


ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

• A thorough understanding of the technical principles of IT hardware and software systems.
• Significant experience in an information security training role.
• Previous experience of working in an Information Security role with knowledge of HMG IA compliance standards.
• Knowledge and experience of ISO27001 compliance.
• A good understanding of Data Protection governance.
• Excellent communication, documentation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well within and between small teams.
• Strong self-motivation.
• Full clean driving licence.


DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES:

• Good technical knowledge and experience of networking, routing and encryption technologies.
• Office 365 Security & Compliance knowledge would be advantageous.
• Experience in managing Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows server platforms.
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• A relevant security qualification such as CISSP, CISM or CISA would be an advantage.

Candidates should be aware that extensive travel is required to other UK RPS offices to satisfy the role.

Because of the nature of the work we undertake, this post is required to meet special nationality rules and therefore is only open to British Citizens (as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981). The candidate will also be required to undergo a national security clearance check.
