Marine Biologist/Biological Oceanographer/Fisheries Biologist/Ecologist
Rhode Island (USA)

RPS is seeking a biologist capable of providing research and technical support for analysis of environmental impacts on marine organisms. Ideal candidate will have a BS degree with (3-5 years) experience or MS degree in marine biology, biological oceanography, fisheries biology, ecology or equivalent. Required skills include the collection and preparation of biological model input data, preparation of technical reports, research of marine biological information and literature, analysis of large fisheries databases, expertise in fish and invertebrate population dynamics, and knowledge of ecological statistics. Experience with MS Office Suite, data processing software (e.g., R and MatLab), and data management are highly desirable. This position does not include any field or laboratory work, and will be conducted solely in an office setting. Applicant must have strong writing, research, quantitative and communication skills and interest in environmental permitting (e.g., NEPA support). The position offers competitive salary and a full benefit package.
