Technical Assistant
Woking


RPS Site Investigation team have been providing project management and operational support services for over 25 years

RPS will optimise the clients’ project requirement either by instigating field survey projects, and/or by conducting geohazard data interpretations and pre-drilling constraints appraisals, summarised under Geohazards.

We are always looking for talented and passionate people to join our growing business. We’re currently looking for a Technical Assistant to can join our Site Investigation and Geohazards Projects team in Woking.

This role will see you being part our experienced team, assisting colleagues providing consultancy advice to our existing clients. Within this role you will be:

Supporting the Project Managers & Geohazards team:
• with preparation of briefing notes and survey specification documents
• with line plan generation
• in coordinating site survey permitting and consenting, charting and closeout
• in Budgeting, Cost Time Resource (CTRs), proposals, cost tracking
• with uploading final reports to the “Project Manager” online database
• with Quality check of contractor survey deliverables (report/chart/data)
• with General business development support

GIS/CAD responsibilities:
• Assist with initial desk top site review, assessing available data, compiling into GIS databases
• undertake basic mapping requests based on templates and existing data
• assist with update and maintenance of GIS data holdings
• asset in compiling, updating and general processing of CAD/GIS field layouts
• Kingdom project setup and data loading, initial interpretation

For this role you must hold relevant industry specific degree (Survey/Geoscience) have excellent communication skills, high attention detail and able to work as a part of a team. It is not essential but would be advantageous for you to have experience in CAD and or GIS.
