About the Role
We are looking for a Transport Engineer/Graduate ideally with some experience in Transport Planning and Traffic Assessments but we will consider graduates who are keen to work in this field of work. You would join our team in Belfast working on Masterplan Developments across NI, Scotland, England, Wales and ROI, working on both public and private sector projects, undertaking traffic assessments and determining highway improvements, working with our innovative design teams to resolve problems. This is a vital analytical role that engages with design engineers using LinSig and Junction modelling tools. Experience in using LinSig and Junction and Signal modelling tools would be a benefit. Knowledge of Microsimulation tools would be advantageous too. You should demonstrate good attention to detail and possess excellent communication and report writing skills. Familiarity with the standard NI documents for planning applications would also be particularly useful. Confidence is required to enable you to discuss projects confidently and know what you are modelling. You should enjoy working independently using your analytical skills to accurately prepare traffic assessments and produce written reports, while still working as part of a team.
